Professor Gi-Wook Shin of Stanford University will
present a talk titled, "Historical Reconciliation in Northeast Asia: Can
the United States Play a Role?" on September 14, Friday, from 10:30 to
11:50 at the TCS Main Conference Room (S-Tower 20th Fl, Seoul, Korea). The
event is open to the public.
Shin, a professor of sociology and director of the
Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University, will
speak on contemporary relations among China, the ROK, and Japan and the
possible role of the United States in historical reconciliation in Northeast
Asia.
Since its launch in September 1st, 2011, the TCS has put forward a
variety of efforts to promote trilateral cooperation, and the upcoming talk is
one of the many activities of the TCS that are designed to contribute to a
broader understanding of trilateral cooperation among the general public.
