On March 5, 2024, the CJK+ASEAN Young Ambassador Program 2024 (YAP 2024)Group Presentation and Closing Ceremony was held in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China. The program was hosted by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS), organized by Guangxi University, and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. 50 undergraduate and graduate school students from China, Japan, ROK and ASEAN joined the 10-day journey to Nanning. 

The final group presentation of the YAP 2024 showcased innovative solutions across six thematic lectures, with seven groups presenting their findings and recommendations. Covering diverse topics such as building disaster-resilient hubs, addressing aging populations and low fertility rates, tackling workforce shortages, earthquake preparedness, and migrant worker integration, the presentations demonstrated a collective commitment to addressing pressing regional challenges. From citizen-level cooperation to intergenerational platforms, the presentations underscored the importance of collaboration and forward-thinking strategies in navigating complex issues within the region. 

At the Closing Ceremony, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji congratulated participants on successfully completing the intensive 10-day program, commending their exemplary performance and contributions to group discussions and presentations. Expressing gratitude on behalf of TCS, DSG ZUSHI highlighted three key impacts of the program on participants' futures. Firstly, they developed the ability to embrace diversity and collaborate effectively, fostering understanding and respect for differing viewpoints. Secondly, participants cultivated valuable networks that will enrich both their careers and personal lives, emphasizing the importance of global connections. Lastly, he underscored participants' role as future leaders of Asia, urging them to leverage their experiences for regional cooperation and solidarity. 

Mr. XIAO Jianzhuang, Vice President of Guangxi University, extended congratulations on the success of the YAP 2024, expressing a strong belief in its ability to foster mutual understanding among youth from China, Japan, the ROK, and ASEAN nations. He underscored the significance of youth as the future and backbone of international cooperation, emphasizing the role of young ambassadors in promoting exchange and cooperation within the region amid emerging global challenges. He further stated the program cultivated cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration, ensuring a brighter future characterized by shared prosperity and solidarity among nations. 

Participants of the YAP2024 engaged in a multifaceted exploration of Nanning, immersing themselves in diverse cultural and professional experiences beyond the final group presentation. From visiting the cutting-edge Digital Guangxi Cooperative Dispatch Command Center to exploring the picturesque Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area and the historic Yiling Rock Cave, students delved into the rich tapestry of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's landscape and heritage. Additionally, their visit to the Foreign Affairs Office provided valuable insights into regional diplomacy and cooperation. The program's holistic approach underscores its commitment to fostering cross-cultural exchange and understanding among youth from China, Japan, the ROK, and ASEAN nations.
