Others Online Meeting between TCS and Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)

On 8 January 2024, TCS Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji and Deputy Secretary-General YAN Liang had an online meeting with Ambassador Morikawa Toru, Executive Director of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) to exchange views on further cooperation between the two sides.
DSG ZUSHI appreciated the attendance of ASEF colleagues and briefly introduced the cooperation between TCS and external partners to facilitate the “Trilateral+X” cooperation. He noted that ASEF is a potential partner of TCS, considering the commonalities between the two sides focusing on the regional people-to-people exchanges, especially in the areas of culture, youth, education, and the like. DSG YAN introduced the progress and new developments of the trilateral, as well as the functions and ongoing key projects of the TCS. He looked forward to strengthening the communication and cooperation between the two sides and further exploring the opportunities for future joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Morikawa and ASEF colleagues appreciated the meeting proposed by TCS and introduced the progress and plan of the key events of ASEF. Ambassador Morikawa echoed that ASEF also takes TCS as an important potential partner for future collaboration.
Both sides agreed to keep close communication and support the projects of mutual interest to better promote inter-regional people-to-people exchanges.
