On December 22, 2023, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji paid a visit to Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province of China, and met with Vice Mayor Ms. WANG Hongyan.
Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI recalled the successful and remarkable trilateral collaboration in saving the endangered Crested Ibis since 1970s, during which Hanzhong City introduced the precious species to Japan and Korea unselfishly. Reviewing the long-standing mutual supports of Hanzhong City and TCS to each other’s events, he highlighted TCS’ endeavors in promoting the Crested Ibis as a symbol of the Trilateral Cooperation, and expected a deepened cooperation with Hanzhong City in near future.
Vice Mayor WANG introduced the socio-economic development of Hanzhong City, highlighting a rich culture of the city as Hanzhong locates in the center of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China, as well as the comparative advantages of its industries such as the organic agricultural products and traditional Chinese herbs. She reiterated her commitment to, as Hanzhong is the homeland of the Crested Ibis in China, further support the Crested Ibis related trilateral exchange and cooperation projects in the future.
