On December 21, 2023, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji paid a courtesy call to Mme.YAO Hongjuan, Director of Office of Foreign Affairs Work Committee of CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Executive Vice President of Shaanxi People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in Xi’an. Mr. YU Wen, Deputy Director-General of China International Communications Group Asian-Pacific Center, was also in attendance.
Director YAO spoke highly of the long-standing mutual support between TCS and Shaanxi Province in various areas including exchanges among Culture Cities of East Asia, series of events related to Crested Ibis, and cooperation in such areas as youth, economic and local city exchanges. She briefed on the socio-economic development progress of Shaanxi Province and the status of friendly exchanges of local governments of Shaanxi with foreign cities especially that of Japan and the ROK, and look forward to deepening the cooperation with TCS for the more abundant and vigorous trilateral ties at local governmental level.
Reviewing both sides’ close cooperation on a series of events centered on the Crested Ibis especially, Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji thanked Shaanxi for the latter’s support to the Trilateral Cooperation for years. Highlighting Shaanxi’s close bonds with Japan and the ROK both in history and contemporary times, he expected more trilateral exchanges to take place in Shaanxi. He reiterated TCS’ commitment to further promote the Trilateral Cooperation in various areas with a focus on youth and local government exchanges in accordance with the outcomes of the 10th Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in this November.
