On August 20, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup attended the ASEAN Strategic Policy Dialogue on Disaster Management (SPDDM) 2025, held in Singapore. His participation contributed to strengthening ASEAN+3 cooperation in the field of disaster management.
The dialogue was held under the theme “Building a Resilient Future: Advancing ASEAN’s Post-2025 Vision for Disaster Management”, and it offers a timely platform to reflect on two decades of regional cooperation, assess achievements, and shape future strategies. The Dialogue will spotlight emerging risks, innovations in technology and policy, and inclusive, adaptive approaches to resilience.
SPDDM is ASEAN’s premier platform for high-level policy discussions on disaster risk reduction, resilience, and regional cooperation. Held annually in Singapore since 2015, SPDDM is co-organized by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) under the auspices of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM).
