TC Activities Young Ambassador Program 2025 Group Presentation and Closing Ceremony 2025-02-21

Kyoto, Japan – February 21, 2025 – The Young Ambassador Program (YAP) 2025 successfully concluded with a Group Presentation and Closing Ceremony at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto. Hosted by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) and Ritsumeikan University, with support from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, the program brought together 30 undergraduate and graduate students for a nine-day journey of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange. 

The final group presentation of the YAP 2025 showcased innovative solutions across diverse topics related to the trilateral cooperation. Covering diverse topics such as creation of investment fund to address shared social challenges, relieving social hostility among CJK through people-to-people exchange through virtual exposure and sister club interactions, enhancing trilateral cultural exchange through the CJK Cultural Pass Initiative, and more. From a grassroot-level cooperation to governmental initiatives, the presentations underscored the importance of collaboration and forward-thinking strategies in navigating complex issues within the East Asia region. 

At the Closing Ceremony, Deputy Secretary-General YAN Liang delivered closing remarks at the Young Ambassador Program (YAP) 2025, celebrating the successful completion of the nine-day program. He commended participants for their dedication, collaboration, and commitment to fostering sustainable trilateral cooperation. Highlighting key takeaways from the program, he emphasized the value of diversity, the importance of building a global network, and the role of young leaders in shaping the future of the region. He encouraged participants to apply their experiences to drive positive change, reaffirming that the connections and lessons from YAP 2025 will continue to inspire them in the years ahead. 

YAP 2025 featured a dynamic agenda, including expert lectures, career talks with young diplomats and professionals, and immersive cultural experiences in Kyoto. Next year’s YAP will commence in Korea.
