On February 16, 2025, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup visited Institute of Disaster Mitigation for Urban Cultural Heritage (R-DMUCH*) and met with Director-General YOSHITOMI Shinta to discuss ways to explore cooperation.
They discussed their major collaboration plan on Symposium on Disaster Mitigation for Cultural Heritage and Historical Cities and agreed to explore the ways to facilitate discussion on a variety of aspects in this subject, in collaboration of international society.
*R-DMUCH, since its' establishment in March 2006 on land adjacent to the Kinugasa Campus of Ritsumeikan University in Japan, Kyoto, conducts research that integrates the humanities and sciences to protect historical cities and cultural heritage from disasters.
