Seminar & Forum TCS Participates in the 6th ASEM Seminar on Urban Water Management

On October 22, 2024, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) delegation led
by Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup joined the 6th ASEM Seminar on Urban
Water Management. The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the
PRC, the People’s Government of Hunan Province and the Asia-Europe
Foundation (ASEF) brought together more than 200 representatives from across
Asia and Europe to address critical water challenges.
In his remarks, SG LEE emphasized the importance of aligning regional efforts
with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and
highlighted key achievements in trilateral cooperation among China, Japan, and
the Republic of Korea (ROK). He noted that 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of
trilateral cooperation and reaffirmed TCS's commitment to working with
partners to enhance climate change response and improve water infrastructure.
The seminar concluded with a call for deeper cooperation within the ASEM
framework. TCS pledged to continue promoting cross-regional dialogue and
collaboration in water management and ecological protection.
