Seminar & Forum Secretary-General Amb. OU Boqian Delivered Video Remarks to 2022 Busan Public Diplomacy Forum 2022-06-30

On 30 June, TCS Secretary-General OU Boqian delivered a pre-recorded video congratulatory remarks to the Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Busan Public Diplomacy Forum at the invitation. The Forum was organized by Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Foundation for International Cooperation. Aiming at sharing best practices of Expo among China, Japan and the ROK, attended the Forum were Choi Jai-chul, Korean Ambassador for Cooperation with Bureau International des Expositions, Lee Sang-Hwa, Korean Ambassador for Public Diplomacy, and CHUNG Jong-pil, Secretary-General of Busan Foundation, together with speakers and young idea proposers from the three countries.


SG OU in her remarks commended the Forum for drawing the World Expo-related inspirations and lessons from China and Japan, and listening to younger generations’ creative ideas, during Busan’s bidding for 2030 World Expo. She recognized Busan’s advantages, and noted with Busan’s attempt, the three countries might mark a World Expo’s East Asia period after the Olympic moment when the ROK, Japan and China respectively organized Olympic Games. She went on briefing a variety of new programs, initiatives and publications launched at the recently concluded 2022 International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation (IFTC) and extended her willingness to join hands with stakeholders to promote “Lasting Peace, Common Prosperity and Shared Culture.”

Busan Public Diplomacy Forum is a platform initiated by the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation in 2020, with a view to promote local exchange among cities of China, Japan and the ROK.
