Secretary-General Amb. Shin Bong-kil visited the EU main organizations, including European Commission, the Council of European Union and European External Action Service (EEAS) and met Mr. Uwe CORSEPIUS, Secretary-General of the Council; Mrs. Helga SCHMID, Deputy Secretary General of EEAS; Mr. David O’SULLIVAN, Chief Operating Officer of EEAS; Amb.Viorel ISTICIOAIA BUDURA, Managing Director for Asia of EEAS, and many other high level officials from March 18 to 20, 2013.
This outreach visit was aimed at understanding experience of the EU integration process as well as strengthening relationship between the two regional communities. Amb. Shin also raised awareness about the TCS’s activities and role during the entire visit. EU officials expressed a great interest in the TCS and showed the expectations for establishing cooperative network with the TCS.
