Mr. Viorel Budura, Managing Director for Asia and Pacific of European
External Action Service (EEAS), accompanied by Mr.Tomasz Kozlowski, Ambassador
of the EU Delegation in ROK, paid a courtesy visit to the Trilateral
Cooperation Secretariat on February 27, 2014.
Secretary-General Iwatani welcomed Mr. Budura’s second visit to TCS office,
and briefed him on the current situation in Northeast Asia, recent trilateral
cooperation progress, TCS’ recent activities, and TCS-EU collaboration.
Mr. Budura spoke highly of the TCS’ role in advancing trilateral cooperation,
and responded positively upon TCS’ invitation of EU’s officials to the upcoming
International Forum for the Trilateral Cooperation in April, 2014.
The two parties also exchanged views on strengthening trilateral
cooperation and shared information of office capacity building.
