Seminar & Forum TCS participated the 7th 10+3 Media Cooperation Forum

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) attended the Seventh 10+3 Media Cooperation Forum held in Beijing, China on December 16, 2014. The forum is hosted by People’s daily with the participation of more than 200 media professionals and governmental officials from 10 Southeast Asian countries, plus three countries and four South Asian countries. The TCS delegation also participated the forum as an observer.
At the media roundtable discussion, the participating media professionals exchanged their views on the theme of Maritime Silk Road Connecting Asia-Pacific Dream, and had the fruitful discussion on the media’s role in promoting the peace and prosperity in East Asia. They also emphasized the significance of the “freedom” of the press as journalist ethic in reporting the news in any countries.
The TCS delegation Ms. LEE Hwa-jin delivered the speech and introduced the progress of trilateral cooperation as well as the TCS’ major activities by highlighting the significance of the ASEAN+3 cooperation. She also emphasized that the TCS is ready to support the ASEAN+3 framework by enhancing the coordination with ASEAN Secretariat and connectivity with the ASEAN countries in various fields.
