Seminar & Forum The network of Trilateral Cooperation Think-tanks was inaugurated during the 2nd Trilateral People-to-People Exchange Forum

On Aug. 31, 2015, the 2nd Trilateral People-to-People Exchange Forum, co-organized by China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), Jilin Trilateral Cooperation Studies Center (TCSC) and the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS), was held in Changchun, Jilin Province of China. Under the theme of “Trilateral Cooperation and the Future of East Asia”, the forum brought together around 150 participants including senior government officials, scholars, entrepreneurs and journalists from China, Japan and the ROK to have in-depth discussion on ways to enhance mutual trust, people-to-people exchange, media and think-tank cooperation.
On the occasion of the forum, the Network of Trilateral Cooperation Think-tanks (NTCT), supported by the three governments, was officially inaugurated. Representatives of the focal points of NTCT, namely China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), Japan Forum on International Relations (JFIR), and Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) delivered speeches and shared commitment to deepen exchange, enhance cooperation on joint research and collectively contribute intellectual support to the trilateral cooperation.
TCS Secretary-General Iwatani Shigeo participated in the forum and delivered an opening speech as well as moderating one session.
