Others TCS Board Members Paid a Courtesy Visit to National Health and Family Planning Commission of China 2015-11-26
On November 26, 2015, TCS Board Members paid a courtesy visit to National Health and Family Planning Commission of China (NHFPC), and met with Mr. REN Minghui, Director-General of Department of International Cooperation. Two sides exchanged their views on common concerns on health and welfare among China, Japan and the ROK including infectious disease, aging issue, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as well as the further development of tripartite health cooperation. 

Secretary-General YANG Houlan of the TCS stated his high appreciation of the three parties’ continued efforts to develop an institutionalized mechanism on health. He especially highlighted their joint efforts on the response to the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in the ROK early this year. As for the further development of health cooperation, SG Yang asserted that the TCS stands ready to provide full support by putting forward the TCS’ relevant future plans. 

Mr. REN welcomed the TCS’ initiatives and sought the strong support from the TCS by suggesting the TCS to facilitate information sharing on infectious disease and establish a channel for the mutual communication among the three parties, etc. The two sides reached the agreement on strengthening the partnership and making joint efforts to accelerate progress towards tripartite health cooperation.
