Others TCS Board Members Paid a Courtesy Visit to Japan Tourism Agency

On December 15, 2015, TCS board members paid a courtesy call to Mr. TAMURA Akihiko, Commissioner of Japan Tourism Agency. Both exchanged views on the concrete measures to follow up the 7th Trilateral Tourism Ministers’ Meeting held in April, 2015.
TCS Secretary-General YANG Houlan identified the important role of tourism in expending people-to-people exchange, and highlighted the outcomes on tourism of the 6th Trilateral Summit, such as “Visit East Asia Campaign” and the goal of increasing the mutual visits among the three countries up to 30 million by 2020. He expressed his high expectation and appreciation of Japan Tourism Agency to play active role in implementing these agreements. In these regards, he emphasized that the TCS stands ready to provide full support to the three parties for the actual practice.
Mr. TAMURA expressed his willingness to initiate the relevant follow-ups of the agreements reached in the 6th Trilateral Summit, and sought the support from the TCS for the facilitation. The two sides agreed to accelerate progress on trilateral tourism cooperation by strengthening the partnership between Japan Tourism Agency and the TCS.
