TC Activities TCS organized the 1st Working Group of Joint Project “Trilateral Cooperation for Improvement of Supply Chain Connectivity (SCC)" 2016-01-21
The TCS organized the 1st Working Group of Joint Project “Trilateral Cooperation for Improvement of Supply Chain Connectivity (SCC)” on January 21, 2016 in Seoul, ROK, in attendance with government officials and research institutions from the three countries. 

This joint project was agreed by the three ministers of Ministry of Trade, Investment and Energy (MOTIE) of ROK; Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan; and Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People’s Republic of China at the 10th Trilateral Economic and Trade Ministers Meeting in October 2015. The three ministers also designated the TCS as a main coordinator of this project. By revealing problems which CJK companies face with, it is expected that this project can play an important role in improving business environment of SCC not only in CJK but also Asia region. 

At the meeting, the three research institutions, namely JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), CAITEC (Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation) and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), were introduced as organizations to conduct questionnaire and survey to CJK business enterprises. 

In his opening remarks, DSG LEE Jong-heon expressed his gratitude to host the 1st Working Group at the TCS and stressed that the TCS contributes to this project as a coordinating hub of this project.
