Others H.E. ZHANG Jun, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia visits TCS

On 23 May 2024, the delegation of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) headed by Secretary-General ZHANG Jun visited TCS. The TCS Secretary-General LEE Heesup, Deputy Secretaries-General ZUSHI Shuji, and YAN Liang met with the delegation and exchanged views on regional affairs and future cooperation between the two organizations.
TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup welcomed the BFA delegation and congratulated BFA Secretary-General ZHANG Jun for taking office lately. SG LEE spoke highly of the development achieved by the BFA since established to promote economic cooperation and integration in Asia and appreciated the continuous support from BFA for inviting TCS to the BFA Annual Conference and other events during the past years. SG LEE briefly introduced the history of the trilateral cooperation and the development of TCS. He noted that the upcoming 9th Trilateral Summit will bring more powerful momentum to vitalize the future cooperation among China, Japan, and Korea. He stressed that TCS will spare no effort to follow up on the outcomes of the Trilateral Summit and would like to work with the BFA to seek for the opportunities of joint projects in this regard.
BFA Secretary-General ZHANG Jun introduced the key functions of BFA to advance economic integration, development, and cooperation in Asia during the past 24 years. He noted that the three countries, in the backdrop of global uncertainties, should stand together to tackle common challenges and explore more opportunities for a better future for Asia. SG ZHANG echoed that the BFA also takes TCS as an important partner and would like to explore joint efforts in the fields of trilateral economic cooperation and youth exchange.
TCS Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI and Deputy Secretary-General YAN also warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed that TCS looks forward to strengthening its ties with the BFA and working together to conduct more concrete projects in the areas of economic cooperation, climate change, people-to-people exchange, youth, and cultural exchange.
