Others TCS Board Members Paid a Courtesy Visit to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the ROK 2017-11-21
On November 21, 2017, the TCS board members paid a courtesy visit to Mr. SON Byeong-Suk, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the ROK (MOLIT).

At the meeting, Vice Minister SON recognized that the TCS had organized the Trilateral Forum on Water Resources back-to-back with the 2nd Trilateral Ministerial Meeting on Water Resources on the occasion of the 7th World Water Forum on April 13, 2015 in Gyeongju, the ROK and officially appreciated the TCS’s contribution to the trilateral consultative mechanism on water resources on behalf of the Ministry. He also emphasized the importance of the TCS’s role of collecting three countries’ common agenda and implementing cooperative projects in coordination with all three parties.

TCS Secretary-General LEE Jong-heon expressed his appreciation for the MOLIT to support the TCS’s activity and explained that one of the TCS’s mandates was to upgrade the existing trilateral mechanisms. Since the Trilateral Ministerial Meeting on Water Resources is held triennially on the occasion of the World Water Forum, SG LEE suggested that the TCS could play a bridging role by facilitating a trilateral project between this three-year term.

The TCS, as mentioned above, supported the 2nd Trilateral Ministerial Meeting on Water Resources which was held on the occasion of the 7th World Water Forum on April 13, 2015 in Gyeongju, the ROK. On this occasion, the TCS organized the Trilateral Forum on Water Resources to raise understanding of water innovation policies of the three countries in collaboration with the MOLIT, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) and the Ministry of Water Resources of China.
