Seminar & Forum 1st East Asia Economic Partnership Forum

On 3rd July 2016 in Tokyo, Japan, TCS Deputy Secretary-General UMEZAWA Akima attended the 1st East Asia Economic Partnership Forum which was jointly organized by Japan-China Organization for Business, Academia and Government Partnership (JCBAG), Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) and Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
In the purpose of promoting economic partnership in East Asia, this forum was held under the theme of “Economic Partnership in East Asia: Establishment of RCEP and Japan-China-South Korea Trilateral Cooperation”, inviting notable scholars and experts from the three countries.
At the third session under the theme of “Promotion of the Trilateral FTA and Trilateral Cooperation”, DSG Umezawa stated the prime importance on the CJK FTA in terms of the enhancement of matured trilateral cooperated relation, with the introduction of TCS’ activities such CJK FTA seminar.
This East Asia Economic Partnership Forum is to be held in a rotation basis and the next forum will be organized in China.
