5th Open lecture of ‘TCS LOUPE’ was held on June 29, 2016, inviting Professor JOO Youngha of the Academy of Korean Studies, who is a well-known East Asian food expert. Professor JOO delivered the lecture on “Similarities and Differences between the Food Cultures of China, Japan, and Korea.”
The lecture by Professor JOO traced the historical and geographical background of the development of the three countries’ food cultures which are closely interconnected to one another through cultural exchanges for a long period of time. The lecture lasted for two hours with a lively Q & A with the audiences.
TCS will continue holding LOUPE (Lecture on Uncovering Panoramic East Asia) with renowned professionals from different fields including tradition, and social life.
